Motorsports Big Weekend
During the recent Memorial Day weekend in the US, motorsport enthusiasts were treated to a thrilling lineup of races, including Formula One's prestigious Monaco Grand Prix, the iconic Indianapolis 500, and NASCAR's Coca-Cola 600.

The esteemed 107th Indianapolis 500 witnessed a modest yet promising rise in viewership, attracting 4.92 million pairs of eager eyes to NBC's screens, a 2% increase from 2022's 4.84 million viewers. After investing in the '100 Days to Indy' docuseries, IndyCar may have anticipated a more resounding crescendo. Still, the buzz was certainly felt as the stands filled with one of the largest crowds in the race's storied history. Witnessing Josef Newgarden's nail-biting triumph over Marcus Ericsson in a heart-stopping last-lap clash was a sight to behold.
In a parallel universe, Formula One's Monaco Grand Prix mesmerized its largest ever live audience, a staggering 1.79 million strong on ABC. A record that hints at the sport's growing popularity in the US, although still shy of the 2.78 million viewers who reveled in the 2002 tape-delayed Monaco race, a time capsule of Formula One's zenith in American history.
Unfortunately, NASCAR's Coca-Cola 600 felt the sting of Mother Nature's whims, with a rain-necessitated delay that led to a 13% drop in viewership on Fox. Nonetheless, 3.40 million loyal fans rallied on Monday, May 29, to catch a glimpse of the rescheduled race, an impressive feat considering the event's unexpected shift.

Formula One is swiftly gaining traction in the American market, leaving us to wonder if NASCAR's reign will remain unrivaled. The race tracks continue to reverberate with the sounds of fiery competition as NASCAR maintains its status as the dominant racing series in the US, with IndyCar hot on its heels due to the magnitude of the Indy 500.

🛰️ Last year's Indy 500 saw 17TB of data used by Verizon customers.
So to prep for 2023, Verizon amped up network coverage in grandstands, turn 3&4, and gates 9, 10 & 11 with upgraded C-band and mmWave spectrum connectivity.

Noticed something during this final season of Succession.
Tom went from rocking a ~$7k Cartier Santos to a ~$80k Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph with a Bleu Nuit Grand Tapisserie dial
Very interesting layer built into the main story… @succession
